Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Pilates Matwork

Become a certified Pilates instructor and learn to teach the fastest growing fitness phenomenon to premium clients. This course is ideal for those looking to pursue a career as a Pilates instructor. It is mainly taught through blended learning which is a mixture of home study/e-learning for the theory aspect and face to face training covering the practical elements of the course which are available in Glasgow, Edinburgh and various other locations in Scotland, and more recently in Manilva, Spain

Once booked on to the course you will be sent out your course manual and set up for your e-learning to support you through your study. You will then attend your training days with your allocated tutor covering the practical elements of the course (you choose your dates from the dates listed) which we run throughout the year in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Penicuik, Fife, Aberdeen and Spain. You then attend one assessment day for your practical assessment.

Course Content

You will work with us over three weekends in a small group environment. The course content covers:

Level 3 anatomy and physiology for exercise and health
Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
Health,safety and welfare in a fitness environment
Principles of exercise, fitness and health
Principles of Pilates matwork
Programming Pilates matwork
Instructing Pilates matwork

Pre-requisite

None

Assessment and Certification

The course is assessed through written questions, assignments, theory assessments and practical observations. Some assessments are completed as home study, some during the attendance days and some on an allocated assessment date. Please note that if you cannot make your allocated assessment date for this course there is an option to change to a different date.

On completion candidates will be awarded with an Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork which will allow them to register on CIMSPA.

Trusting myself + my ability to do this as I am, without shrinking or changing to fit an idea of who ‘belongs’ in movement spaces. Working 9–5 in design, the weekend in-person classes made it really easy to balance studying with work. Rachel was incredibly knowledgeable and a great tutor, and the practical exam with 1:1 feedback gave me real confidence stepping into the fitness industry.Huge thank you to Georgia and the whole team for being so supportive throughout. I couldn’t recommend Club FEA more if you’re thinking about starting your journey in fitness, I’ll definitely be back in the future to complete my pre and postnatal training too.
