Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training

This amazing course is ideal for those continuing their professional development after completing their gym instructor qualification, and are looking to qualify as a personal trainer. Once qualified candidates will be able to personal train clients on a one to one basis and in small groups, carry out fitness testing, give advice on lifestyle and nutrition and deliver periodised programming to their clients.
This qualification also includes a new unit which covers professionalism and business acumen for personal trainers, a vital part of starting a career as a personal trainer. The course is taught through blended learning which is a mixture of home study/e-learning and 5 face to face attendance days covering the practical elements of the course.

- Applied anatomy and physiology for exercise, health and fitness
- The principles of nutrition and their application to exercise and health
- Understanding lifestyle, health and wellbeing and common medical conditions
- Encouraging positive health and fitness behaviours in clients
- Programme design and delivery for personal training
- Professionalism and business acumen for personal trainers
Pre-requisite
- Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing
Assessment and Certification
The course is assessed through written questions, assignments, theory assessments and practical observations. Some assessments are completed as home study, some during the attendance days and some on an allocated assessment date. Please note that if you cannot make your allocated assessment date for this course there is an option to change to a different date.
On completion candidates will be awarded with an Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training which is eligible for entry to CIMSPA as a level 3 personal training practitioner.
