Boot Camp Instructor

This course is for those who are interested in teaching clients in an outdoor environment and utilising the resources available in the environment. It is suitable for those who are already level 2 qualified but do not have a relevant qualification for teaching clients outdoors or for qualified personal trainers who do not have a relevant group exercise qualification and wish to gain additional knowledge and skills for trianing groups outdoors

Course Content

Course content will cover:

Health and safety factors when working with groups and teaching in an outdoor environment
The types of exercise suitable for an outdoor session
The types of equipment suitable for an outdoor session
How to utilise the environment when teaching an outdoor session
How to plan and teach a group exercise session and plan a block of sessions for an outdoor environment

Pre-requisite

Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing or Group Training

Bootcamp Instructor Course, Scotland

Assessment and Certification

The course is assessed through written questions and observations

On completion candidates will be awarded The Fitness Education Academy's Boot Camp Instructor Certificate which is also endorsed by CIMSPA.
